David Mason | Principal LIA | Managing Director
David Mason is the Principal Licensed Immigration Adviser and Managing Director of Southern Ferns Immigration Services, bringing over 45 years of expertise in immigration and employment services. Throughout his distinguished career, David has provided professional immigration advice to clients from 36 countries and supported some of New Zealand’s largest companies with their migration needs.
Before establishing his private immigration practice, David served for 10 years as a consular official with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, holding diplomatic postings at New Zealand embassies and consulates in Papua New Guinea, South Korea, Germany, and Perth, Australia. This international experience gives him a truly global perspective in guiding clients.
David is also a former Director of the New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment (NZAMI), reflecting his leadership and influence in the immigration sector.
In addition to his immigration expertise, David continues to manage international relationships for Southern Ferns, ensuring strong global partnerships and opportunities for students and migrants. His professionalism, integrity, and wealth of knowledge make him an invaluable resource for anyone pursuing study or migration pathways in New Zealand.
